“It was not until February 2000 that I first went to see a hawaii chiropractor to treat the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). At first, I was very hesitant because I believed the field of chiropractic was quackery. However, in my need of desperation, I sought chiropractic help.

I was very fortunate to meet Dr. Daniel Vicars in 2002. He is a caring young man who treats his patients as he would his immediate family. When I started at Discover Chiropractic, my treatments were primarily for maintenance to keep my CFS in check.

Due to my dismay, in February 2003, I hurt my lower back. The pain was incredible. Any part of my body that moved caused unimaginable pain. One day, as I tried to stand up from squatting, a lightening of pain shot up my spine and I fell down. I could not stretch out my arms or stand. I stood hunched over (still in pain).

Subsequently, I made a desperate call to Discover Chiropractic to make an appointment. The office graciously took me on an emergency basis, and I walked out that day with no more pain. The following morning, as I got ready for work, I knelt down to pick up an item, and again the pain shot up my back. I fell down onto the floor and stayed there for 30-40 minutes.

Again, I went to Discover Chiropractic, and I walked away from the office straight up with no grimace on my face. Within a week or so, I was able to return to my normal routine of work and family.

I was rather amazed how quickly the treatments kicked in. If not for chiropractic, I would be bed-ridden recovering form back surgery.
